John Walmsley

KILLED IN 2012

An inquest in 2013 heard John Walmsley was struck by a red Vauxhall Vectra while he was assisting the driver of a silver Fiat Punto close to where the M25 and A21 split.

The 59-year-old Highways Agency worker died on September 25, 2012 close to a bend on the clockwise carriageway known locally as “the snake”.

Mr Walmsley and his colleague Michael Phillips were called to the area after the Fiat Punto driven by Steve Kocak ended up facing oncoming traffic.
