Just out of interest .... What the hell does it matter if your wearing a long or short sleeved shirt. Your hi-vis is long sleeved or are we getting short sleeve summer hi-vis? (a yellow tube to slide over your fore-arm whilst doing the dying swan.)

I still think the new shirts suck!

Re: What have you lost when working?

The latest lost property item was my flask. Personally I blame my oppo who was driving. If i'd been driving it would still have been there.............NOT!!! Face it buddy! There only seems to be you and hypa_footy_chik who can loose stuff. You must have left it on the top of that bin because my dr...

Aside: Are you aware the shirts are almost identical to what the Royal Navy wear? http://www.royal-navy.mod.uk/upload/img_400/%5B(1705)-14-09-2004%5Dwow4.jpg RN tropical gear at least looks manly to a degree and I only ever wore white fronts anyway. Plus the fact that when I was working, even in th...

My wife commented that they look like her blouses from secondry school. She also suggested the HA may issue gym skirts to go with them! That really does sum up the whole thing nicely. There is another issue here. The HA sometimes relent and say ties off but with the stipulation that both cr...

Got a buzz today that all those that aren't going to be worn are to be parcelled up and sent back. Best save the box they came in then! If they are as bad as everyone says, mine might get sent back after... After each and every one of them has been worn on a nice hot summers day doing lots of activ...

Got a buzz today that all those that aren't going to be worn are to be parcelled up and sent back. Best save the box they came in then! I can tell you that the Summer shirt WAS trialled for use. By an OM. (no joke) I wonder if I know which one? I suppose the new light weight rainproof has been trial...

New summer shirts

Anyone had them yet? I think someone is taking the proverbial. Got in this morning and on top of all the lockers is a pack of new shirts or to be more precise a pack of new blouses. Not only do we have to work with a white shirt and a very gay tie in probably one of the dirtiest enviroments but now ...

I feel as guilty as hell when I am in the outside lane looking over the barrier to try to see the debris on the other carriageway. Sometimes it is the best way, especially with the high concrete central res. I think it was ingrained into me at an early age that you stick to the nearside except for w...

Re: Abuse of lights

[Slightly off topic but if we had a couple of small sandbags/kittilitter in the car, you could use them on the 610's to stop them blowing away ( i know cones are on option before you all get on at me) and it could save having a lane shut for a small spillage, Is that multitasking/joined up thinking...

Our supers seem to be in a bit of a dilema. The Grandis is pants, It's road noise is harsh, the engine noise is harsh and the general ride quality is hard probably due to the extra weight it carries. None of them really want to use it but if they dont they will loose it. If they loose it they will n...
