Re: Scene Screens

Assuming a single-crewed HATO would be deploying these would the Mitsubishis and Toyotas that are already right at the limit of their axle load be able to tow these? Or would a Land Rover have to be stationed around just in case too?

There has probably been a lot of evidence-gathering and going over the case with a fine-tooth comb to eliminate any possible loophole to guarantee they get a positive result as it is "one of their own".

Re: Regulating traffic with a motorcycle

Cars that have just broken down only need a quick push out the way. The bike thing is a white elephant it can't move anything which has lost wheels or has brakes seized where we can and when a bike parks in front of stranded car it cannot be seen where in our tall 4x4 's we can be seen. It if had a...

Re: M6 Winds

Dont know about the rest of the country, but it was a rather busy shift for all patrols in the north west. Even the ROM was out and about! That'll help. My contact in the NW says that the TOV that was hit was hit by the forth or fifth of the HGV's that went over. What the f*ck was the M6 up there d...

Re: New Vehicles for 2011

Can I play devil's advocate and suggest that a fleet of vans/skoda allroads/V70s etc is available but with the snowchains in the back for the heavy snowfall we get once a decade? An extra bonus point of driving around on chains is that it will rip the roads up which will keep the MAC unit staff in a...

Re: A problem.

I can't be the only one thinking that he meant an old-fashioned "real" key rather than a maglock card?

The old-fashioned key will have part of a cutting pattern that will lift the pins on the main door, and part of the cutting pattern that will lift the pins on the room door.

I think.

Can't be impersonating us, he doesn't have epaulettes on and seems to be wearing a rather spiffing granddad shirt/jumper combination.

Still, we were having a good laugh about it the other day. Not sure he trumps the fake ISUs doing the rounds in our neck of the woods though!
