Moving on

Hi for anyone that cares.

I have decided that I will no longer be posting or looking at this site. I have asked to be removed by the moderator but the reply was "I'm not removing anyone including you", not sure why it was so abrupt but still, never mind.

It's been fun.

Re: New Vehicles for 2011

if your higher than a TO then you shouldn't really be posting on here anyway. Huh :slh: Since when did not being a TO preclude anyone from membership and the right to post on this forum???? Have rules changed Falk?? What I meant was we're not even allowed to be on this forum so anyone who is above ...

Re: New Vehicles for 2011

To do that would compromise my identity. I'm not prepared to do that for anyone thanks. I couldn't care less what you think, but the person who posted said info is blatantly trolling and people should be made aware of that. If he/she thinks that, why don't THEY say where their info has come from? O...

Re: New Vehicles for 2011

You, single handedly are the sole reason why I don't post on here anymore with my last proper post being March. If you know so much, instead of insulting people and showing that your the big know all, tell us, otherwise don't bother. Give it a rest for the small amount of people who still post here ...

Re: Unfit kit, especially for ISUop.

For f**** sake do something about it then, if the management are shitttteee do something about it, speak to someone and if you get no response go higher and then higher if you need to. Or what you can do is go up to that person and tell them what you think about them, all you are doing is telling t...

Re: Unfit kit, especially for ISUop.

Well CB, you remind me why I didn't use this site for the last two years. I'm not a TM, indeed I've had my differences of opinion with more than most over the years, but you just go on and on. I remember a post I wrote not too long ago in which I suggested you were in the wrong job. Well, if everyt...

Re: Unfit kit, especially for ISUop.

Grim Reaper and Wrist Assessment seem to realise what they have got; Decent job, decent conditions & decent pay. On that note - what kit have you got thats any good and which jobs are you best able, equipped and trained for? Grim Reaper and Wrist Assessment, as the rest of the TO's im sure realise ...

Re: Unfit kit, especially for ISUop.

Snafu, your right, as I have been reminded by RT on several occasions, not all regions/OS's are the same. A TO I was talking to recently said NT had turned into a group of the same TO's from the same region that are mates and just bounce jokes arou d about each other and the site has lost a lot of i...

Re: Unfit kit, especially for ISUop.

Lucky for you that you have decent kit up there then. I personally don't like the fact that upper management get paid 20g more than we do to make decisions about stuff that they don't need to work with that affects us daily. If your happy being on a job at 3 am in thick fog and your torch goes flat,...

Re: Unfit kit, especially for ISUop.

We dont have enough torchs to take extras out . Night shift last week the torch lasted less than 5 minutes and at £100 each they wont replace them. We have batteries but who's qualified to change them?? What qualification do you need? Do you need a qualification to change the batteries in your magl...

Re: Unfit kit, especially for ISUop.

brand new, fully paid for unused incident screens now mothballed due to cost of using MAC's to deploy even though we have tow balls. :slh: Off topic Gross Max Veh Weight is too much when added to a TOV. Has to be an empty 4x4. /off topic Also not all of us have the towing capability on our driving ...

Re: Unfit kit, especially for ISUop.

Couldnt possibly carry a fire extinguisher to give yourself a few extra seconds to cut a seatbelt rather than see the driver burn right in front of you. Not all fires will blow up "Hollywood" style. "You dont have the training to use it", firstly, instructions are written on the side and secondly TR...

Re: Unfit kit, especially for ISUop.

They may have been £2 more but they seemed to forget we can have 8 winter shirts, 3 summer shirts, 3 ties and 3 sets of epp's where as we could have 1 tie and 1 set of epps for formal dress and just 6 to 8 Tee's. With a shirt being,,,what,,, £20, that's a £60 saving minimum per TO. RCC bods have lon...
