Re: Freedom of Information Requests

I wonder how much time and money has been wasted responding to this moron.

Re: 999 sick driver’s big HA/NVRS bill shock !!

A bit late to the party, but... ...would the AA/RAC (had she been a member) recovered the car in this instance? If so, what steps would/should have been taken to establish if she were a member and organise for such recovery? Or would it be a case of just get the HA boys in first to reduce delays? W...

Re: Waiting List Advice

Looks like the waiting list has been extended for another 12 months. (I've just got an email.) Good news, I suppose. I'm still hopeful.

Re: Waiting List Advice

I'm still keeping my eyes open for 'internal', DfT recruitment, (lateral transfer, promotion, etc) and get regular emails on such for other posts, but not seen any for TOs yet. :(

Re: Waiting List Advice

I've not been around for a while, but thought I'd pop back to see if there were any updates on recruitment. Nothing, I see. :slsad:

Re: Recruitment Freeze and Outstation Staffing Levels.

There may be a 'recruitment freeze' but internal recruitment (lateral transfer/on promotion) will occur as it isn't increasing the head-count. I know it's ridiculous, as all that happens is people move from one post to another. One post gets filled, but it results in another being immediately opened...

Re: Recruitment Freeze and Outstation Staffing Levels.

Are any posts being advertised/filled internally, e.g. lateral transfer?

I'm getting the odd email about vacancies open to lateral transfer/on promotion in other agencies, but none from the HA. I was hoping I might get into the service that way.

Re: Clamping on private property to be made illegal!

Did you see watchdog the other night? Their article on clampers, with their 'sting' operation? Good stuff - they clamped a clamper! :n34: One thing that annoys me about that show though, is the lack of actual advice post story. They didn't once mention the impending change in law, or more importantl...

Re: Waiting List Advice

I was being sarcastic when I said that. It just infuriates me when, through no fault of our own, front line services get shafted and as a result we and the public suffer. And it makes me so mad when at the same time the people at the top carry on as normal, indeed, get praised for, making 'the hard ...

Re: Waiting List Advice

We pretty much know this already, but today I received this unsolicited email: Dear Candidate , You may have heard in the media that the Government has issued a "recruitment freeze" across the Civil Service for the rest of 2010-11. The purpose of this email is to inform you of how this will affect y...

Re: Does the HA subscribe to the 'Cycle to Work' scheme?

Update: I would like to advise you that if your payroll department is not going to change but your employer is. Then your contract will still be able to proceed and not be classed as an earlier leaver, but if your payroll is going to change due to your new job then unfortunately you would be classed...
