Good qotes on car insurance and a good level of cover.

I now have 2 cars with them. No one else could touch the premium. :)

It is a bit of a toughie to decide upon when extrapulating information and dealing with conjecture, what if etc. You do have to be there to make the decision, you may have only got half a glimpse of the item at 70mph to go on, so occasionally in this grey area they will be actions pepole disagree o...

People already panic brake for HATOs. If they see red lights they think "$hit - coppers I'd better brake anyway" or "mmmm, something juicy to slow down and video on my phone here...." Easy to cause a bump. Not my problem[/color], if people want to do idiotic things that is not my fault, responsibil...

Funny how some people's gut feeling is more important/ accurate/ relevant than all the research and experience put into the procedures. This subject has been reviewed by the HA every time a vehicle has been hit and the conclusions so far are the same. Using rear reds every time you stop on the hard ...

Re: TO's above their stations

Listen to you all. It appears to me that Body Armour is needed by all To's as you all seem willing to stab one another in the back. Can you tell me none of you have ever had a customer that you haven't given 100 percent to, I think not. Please start living in the real world, This is not such a grea...

Your friend must complain no ifs or buts this type of behavour needs challenging, the patrol is easily identifed so no chance of inocent TO's being hauled over coals. Absolutely. Call the HAIL line. Information is passed to the OM who must investigate and report back to HAIL before they will close ...

The HA portal explains the pay band system and nowhere does it say 'Excluding Traffic Officers'.

Why are we being treated differently to the rest of the HA ?

Glad to hear everyone is OK. Just goes to show that the ONLY thing which will keep you safe is constant vigilance. Had a lane one closure the other day. We used full size chapter 8 cones from the hard shoulderfor the taper. I stood 250 metres before the taper waving LGV's out. The taper still got hi...

No vehicle has been struck on the hard shoulder because it did, or did not have red/ amber/ or any other coloured lights on. The only reason vehicles are struck is because the culprit driver is not paying attention and drifts off the carriageway. I still don't understand why some people think that s...

Once again, it seems we have different interpretations by 'management' in different regions.

Surely it can't be too difficult to achieve a joined up TO service. we've been at it long enough now

I've seen people removed from wrecked vehicles on spinal boards without cutting the roof off. The size of a Land Cruiser, I would have expected to be able to remove an imobilised person without too much difficulty. Obviously I don't know the specifics of the incident, but it does seem a bit extreme....

Spot on Blakey.

It is a case of being aware and reacting to what is happening around you.

TO's who cruise at a fixed speed regardless cause more problems than they solve, for themselves (getting hemmed in by LGV's) and for LGV's trying to maintain their progress.

The rear reds debate annoys the c**p out f me. We seem to have the same converstaion at least once a fortnight at our place, going over and over the same old stuff, again and again and again... People usually sight their own safety as a reason to use reds on the h/s. We are not the only peop...

Why not use the VMS signs more effectively.

Motorists see the same old messages day in and day out, so why not add some education messages . People notice things that change.
At least then we are talking directly to the right audience
