The use of baton rounds has been the "norm" in Ireland for public order issues for years...so I find myself asking why we can't use the same tactics and equipment here on the "main land"? I understand that...I just don't understand why the ambulance service, highly necessary and essential service, isn't classed as an emergency service...just seems wrong to me. :slsad:

Good...we speak "English" in the UK as a whole and if you come to this country you need to integrate to our laws, values and morals, not the other way around.

My understanding is that all emergency service providers are centrally paid for, I.E. by national and local governments, and the ambulance services are paid for by the NHS...not sure if that helps...probably not
