Hello from an escapee

Post by Scouseescapee » Sat Sep 13, 2008 7:57 am

Hi all,
finally got round to registering, after I left the job. Now doesn`t that narrow down who I could possibly be :-)

I`ve left the HA due to the problems all of you know about, and have moved elsewhere that has management that seem a lot more interested in caring for their staff. I`ve even managed to keep most of the excitement that you can get from being a HATO, but it`s a very different kind and the police like us at the new job ;-)

But to everyone I worked with over my time in the HA, thanks, it was great fun for most of it! Posing with a toy womble in a services car park for photo`s, great times. Parking up in services for hours on end to save fuel, not so much fun!

Welcome 'Scouse.

Yeah, pretty much everyone I spoke to about it is actively looking for a new job. But to quote one manager - who cares, we`ve always got "The big R" - meaning recruitment. Nice to see that the manager in question thinks that a TO with 2-3 years experience can be easily and quickly replaced by a new trainee isn`t it?

No offence to anyone starting new, we`ve all been there, but it does take time to settle into the job and get good at it.

welcome scouseescapee :slgo:

I hope you have time to run through a few of the old war stories

I am sure others would love to hear - I certainly would

which was your best patrol vehicle?

The old disco was my favourite, whether it be at Sammy or Rob Lane. None of the new vehicles are big enough for anyone over 6 foot to be comfortable in.

As for war stories - heaven forbid I ever get involved in anything exciting :-)
