'Lo there - Just got the call!

Post by Pandamonium » Wed May 14, 2008 7:22 pm

Hi Everyone,

Been lurking on here for almost a year now, but didn't fancy registering until I got offered a job. After a good few months on the waiting list, I've finally been offered a job! And there was me panicking I was going to drop off the list!

Already a civil servant, so it's being done as a transfer. My boss wasn't too chuffed when I told him I wanted to go.

Excellent site - and the useful information on it helped me make my decision to accept the job. Hope to see some of you around, and possibly even put faces to usernames.

Standard civil service rules. Transfer across departments without needing to serve out a full probationary period. If you don't make the grade then you get booted back to your old job.

Works well. unless you want to go from the RCC to working 'on-road' when you have to apply as an external candidate apparently.

Any transfer from another dept. has to attend the assessment centre same as RCC staff.

Although Pandamonium does not say this I'm sure he/she would have had to do this.

I was meaning apply as a proper external candidate, by going through the full external process, not apply to transfer and then do the assessment centre.

I am, however, somewhat drunk as a reward for doing man stuff so I may have mis-read your post. :1:
